Just wondering if anyone might know how to remedy the carb on my combat wombat. After sitting up a long time, I finally got the bike started, but only with the choke on. She goes dead without choke on. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Marty

just a follow up question. Do I neccesarily need to use a gasket sealer at all? should the gasket be applied dry?

Exhaust gasket
Just received my exhaust gasket from SH. Thanks Paul for the gasket. I was wondering if it matters about the correct mounting side. Does it matter which side the gasket mounts to the pipe and head? Both sides of the gasket look about the same. If anything, one side appears to be a little more slick ...

Re: Harry Taylor (HT) pipes coming soon!!
Hello Paul,
I have just recently purchased a Combat Wombat and I accidentally dropped the bike off the stand damaging the pipe at the bend near the head and cracking the exhaust joint. I was wondering if there are are more HT2 pipes available and if so what the cost is?
Thanks, Marty

muffler repair
Good morning everybody, I was wondering if anybody has a solution to a muffler leak. On the expansion chamber in the bend coming off at the jug there are about three pin holes. Would jb weld work on that, or would I need a cold weld suited to higher temperture? JB weld is rated at 500 degrees. I app...

tank cleaning
Hello everybody, can someone recommend the best method to clean a gas tank of varnish and gunked up gas? The combat wombat I purchased does not appear to have any rust, but does have the residue of old gas sitting in the tank. I have a 74' Yamaha mx 125a resto project and on that tank I used white v...

Hello all, I am relatively new to the forum, but I am happy to report I finally acquired a cw. The bike has sat inside for a long while and I know I need to clean tank and carb. Can anyone suggest a laundry list of all the things that need to be addressed before the bike is started for the first tim...

Re: 1975 road toad
Thankyou Bob for your info; I am considering a purchase of a 75' RT; what would be best way to increase performance and still stay legal by AHRMA?

1975 road toad
Does anyone know if a 75' Road Toad is eligble for vintage 100cc cross-country AHRMA compettition? What I mean is, is the 75' Road Toad considered a "like design" of 1974? I looked in the AHRMA handbook and all it said under the vintage 100 class for Hodaka was 90 or 100. Appreciate your i...
