Re: Boise VMX races (2016)

Hey Dale, nice plate for the wall...congrats! I sure wish my engine would have lasted more than two laps, but what a fantastic weekend for watching some great races with some great people! We'll be back next year for sure.

Re: The Pomeroy memorial challenge 125 series

I'll be there again with my SC and I may just enter with the sole goal of keeping from being lapped! Then again, it might be more fun to just watch! I know I'll have some fun again trying to keep up with Dale on Saturday....

Re: Super Combat Shift Kit Installation

Max Thanks for the check. I'll have to pull it apart to check but I didn't notice any issue with it and it seemed to slide in and out fine. Also, the clutch slid right on and seemed to work fine by hand. I think I need to cut down on the Wheaties before I tackle another left hand thread! Either that...

Re: Super Combat Shift Kit Installation

Bill - The 203000 is for the 90 - 125's and the 203007 is for the 175 and 250. Look under the tools heading on this site. When Max said "all meshing" it dawned on me to use the tool on the clutch and it would hold the primary. Worked fine and I took the clutch nut off my spare Wombat motor...

Re: Super Combat Shift Kit Installation

I didn't think to try an impact driver. Do you use it to tighten the nut too? I figured I'd need to use a torque wrench on it, but I haven't found a torque value. So snug tight would work here? Thanks for the idea.

Super Combat Shift Kit Installation

I was removing the clutch nut from the crank shaft and proceeded to ruin the threads in the nut...should have read that again about it being left hand thread! Luckily I didn't ruin the shaft threads. (New nut to be ordered tomorrow) After managing to get it worked off the shaft, I go to remove the p...

My check went out Thursday, so I'm hoping it shows in time. I'm sure I speak for all of us who can't be there when I say thanks!!

Re: Boise VMX races

What an awesome race again this year! It was great meeting and mostly trying to catch you Dale. I just tonight managed to finally get the remaining mud off my bike so I can look into what's up with 4th gear. Duff's Racing has a bunch of great pictures of both wet Saturday and dry Sunday races if any...

Boise Vintage MX Race #1

After watching Jay Lael and a couple of other Hodakas from the sidelines last year, I just had to get on the track for this years race. I guess even at 55 it's never too late to start right! Man, what fun! The track was really nice and the weather turned out perfect. I even managed to pick up 2nd pl...

Re: KYB Shock rebuild

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I have a set of these that seem to be OK in the seal department but have rusty springs. I've got the springs clean of rust with Evaporust, but there is a pretty good amount of pitting and I'm thinking about sanding, priming and painting the springs before I rein...
