I am looking for a CDI rotor puller for a 1974 Hodaka Super Rat. Does anyone have one or know where I can get one?

Re: Original Nitto Tires
SR, I called Fed EX and for the two tires shipped to an LA zip code will cost about 50 bucks. They would not be in a box. I could have them shipped in a box but that would be more. Please call me at (360) 377-5164 to finalize this if you still want the tires. I would not be at all afraid of them. I ...

Re: Original Nitto Tires
I was mistaken. The spot that looked like a separation is a mold defect when the tire was new. There is an identical "spot" on the opposite side that must have been in the mold the tire was formed in. Both spots are is the same location on the circumerence of the bead. The two places on th...

Found a separation in the front tire. These are high res pics if you know how to zoom in.

Re: Original Nitto Tires
Here are some pics of the tires. They are a couple nicks from my tire irons on the beads. The ONE crack I could find on the rear tire is shown. The first 4 are the front tire, the last 5 are the rear tire. These tires are not rotten in any way. Rob http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r36/valmaxi/Rob%...

Re: Original Nitto Tires
I will post you some pics today. Yes, everyone will tell you that they are rotten. These are not rotten. I will sell them so cheap it will scare you. You will get both for the same price. Are you close to Seattle or do you need to ship?

Original Nitto Tires
Hello, I hope it is ok to post some parts for sale on this thread. I have a 21 inch 2.75/3.00 Nitto Tire and 18 inch 3.50 Nitto Tire that I just broke down from a November 1974 Hodaka Super Rat. These tires are in amazing shape and both held air at 40 psi for nearly 3 days. I do not want them and if...

Re: Float/Needle and Seat Assembly
This is all coming back to me. The needle and set assembly that I bought new was from Sudco. I could not figure out their catalog vey well and called them. The one on Dan's website looks very similar to the one I got from Sudco. It was way to short. I had to bend the doo doo and reconfigure the shap...

Float/Needle and Seat Assembly
Hello, I separated this out of my drippy carb post. Seems floats and the proper needle and seat assembly are getting hard to fine. I found these on Ebay that fit a bunch of early Kawasaki's with a VM20 Mikuni. They look totally correct from the pictures and the needle looks to be the proper length. ...

Re: Fin dampers
Not sure if they will fit, but the were stock stuff on the Yamaha 500 singles in the mid to late 70's. They were solid rubber about 1/2 in diameter and around the same width you are talking about. Part number 9 in the below diagram http://www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/yam/50041eecf8700209bc786...

Re: Drippy Carb
Bullfrog,
I agree. Any thoughts on the Kawasaki float and needle seat assembly? I would like to have some fall back parts. I will address the float bowl ears and flatness.

Re: Drippy Carb
I am fairly sure that the leakage is the float bowl to the carb gasket area. I will remove the carb and disassemble and check the bowl flatness. This happens on Holley accelerator pump housings all the time and I have flattened and smoothed them to achieve a flat surface. a sanding block is a huge h...

Drippy Carb
Hello, Time to ask the experts again. My 1972 Hodaka B+ suffers from film around the float bowl. I have had it running for a couple years now and it is just right on for tune and fun. It is a stock VM20. For the last two years I had it running with a new float and needle/jet assembly. It seemed odd ...

Re: The future of Strictly Hodaka
Paul, As a new comer to the Hodaka "addiction" I was truly amazed at the availability of the parts for these old old bikes. I have restored and ridden other old bikes from the "big four" and they were harder to find the parts for. We have you to thank for that. You broke away fro...

First Show
We have a local show about 1 mile from my house on the 3rd Friday of the month during summer/fall. Got to ride the B+ down there last Friday! The B+ was at our lake most of the summer. It never ceases to amaze me of what a show magnet these little bikes are! This show is attended by lots of local ho...

Re: Throttle Cable
Can I just buy a throttle cable from SH? Went on-line and they only seem to have all four in a package for sale? If so what is the part number for my 1972 B+?

Re: Throttle Cable
Thanks Guys, It seems to be the wrong cable for sure and way to long. The other difference I see is the connection point on the throttle housing for the grip. some Hodaka's I see in pictures have a solid 90 degree smooth bend to turn the cable towards the frame and some just have a spring. I have on...

Throttle Cable
Hello, New guy again. When getting the 1972 100B+ together I sourced a new throttle cable and it seems odd. The location it attaches to the grip seems incompatible to the length of the cable. In this I mean it has alot of free play passed closed on the grip? You can spin it a lot further from full s...
