HODAKA DAYS
I was in the parts house today and asked a question that I could not answer. When was the first Hodaka Days gathering? I came home and did some looking and the best I could come up with was 2006 and that was the year the club was chartered into the AMA. Likely the Hodaka group met prior to that time...

That is a find. I have been looking for a good stock gas tank for my last Gouch creation. I am in the market to purchase if you are in the market to sell. Richard

Re: ACE 90 engine
I guess I am one of many that grew up around the ace 90's. I am here to say, the ace 90 motor went thru a lot of changes during those years. They were compared to the rear engine Volkswagen. But back in the day when I went to the Hodaka Days show and shine, I always looked for ace 90 motors that had...

TRAIL RIDING GROUP
I have been putting together single and duel track rides for a few years. We call ourselves the Old Guys Group. As HT would say, he would like all of us to ride a Hodaka powered bike but we won't turn down a Scottish Greeves or a Montessa Cota. Got three rides planned likely in late July and or the ...

I HAVE A FRAME
I pulled a model 97 frame from a barn in the local community a few years ago. Although I have been sumwhat connected with the Hodaka Community since 1960, I have never riden a Super Combat. My question is whether the frames on the Wombats are generally the same? I am currently riding a model 94. Wou...

Re: Older style Ace front fender
Hey Viclioce
The early Ace 90 fenders were Yamagouchi and they did not have the same bolt pattern as Hodaka. That could be your problem. That is why some experts talk about two different fenders for Ace 90's. Search out a Yamagouchi fender if you want to be period correct.

Re: Steen and Alsport Steen owners
I like my little Steen. Finally got it finished and tucked away to wait to see if my youngest granddaughter will have an interest in it. Like so many of my creations, it is a "bitsa." I just wonder how many Steen's are on the green side of the ground and are in running condition! Richard

Re: Alsport/Steen Forks and Shocks - parts wanted
I just finished my 1971 Hodaka Steen. It came with Cerini fork tubes and I am using them. I ended up using a model 96 exhaust. I must say that it rides much rougher than any of my other Hodaka motorcycles. I attribute it to the light weight forks and shocks. Built it for my youngest granddaughter. W...

Re: Oil injection - Love it or leave it?
I can only speak for myself. I would convert to premix for two reasons. (1) one less thing to break down (2) My family and I are trail riders and have run our engines at 40 to one mix for forty years. I like premix because it makes my engines run cleaner.

HEY CLERENCE
I should be able to forward you the vin number. With that, could you identify whether my Steen is a X-100 moto cross or a F-100 Deluxe Scrambler?

Had no luck posting on this site but am cleaning it up for a trail bike. No idea of the model. Frame and forks are different. My best guess is I own a Alsport Steen. If there is an ID chart available, I could run the vin number and verify the model.

I had the Pabatco fairing on a model 94 Wombat for a number of years and it worked out well. I found it easy to mount. I only removed the fairing because I put the Wombat into storage.

MY 1972 HODAKA STEEN
I am freshening up a stock Hodaka Steen that came with a stock tuned exhaust. Since firing up the bike once and hearing the bark of the pipe, I have found a silencer. My question to the Hodaka community is whether anyone has used that pipe in the past or whether it was just one of those loud seventi...

Re: SAD NEWS, Hodaka Owner Registry goe,s away!!!!
For those of you that don't know him, he was a regular at Hodaka Days. Even had a few things to sell. A Hodaka guy from the Portland, Oregon area and in my opinion was a very knowledgeable person on the Yamagouchi series and the early Hodaka's.

I have photos but don't have a clue on how to post them. Quite frankly, I have given up on trying to sell it. So here is the edited question. Will the model 94 tripple tree fit on the Steen frame without an act of congress? Then the followup question is whether the 300 X 18 Wombat rear wheel will fi...

MY 1972 HODAKA STEEN
I have a stock Hodaka Steen that I seemingly cannot sell or trade. Thinking about turning it into a trail bike this winter. The wheels are just too small and the tank has too little gas capacity. Any suggestions on wheel or gas tank replacements. Thinking I have some wheels from a model 94 Wombat un...

I have also been thinking about parting with some 250 parts. A local guy has shown some interest but it has been more than two years. Also have a Thunderdog that I would like to sell as part of the the package.

Over the years, I successfully soaked my pipes in carb cleaner. It was the good stuff before carb cleaner got watered down after attacks from the EPA. My memory is not clear. Did the carb cleaner destroy the chrome finish? I do remember the carb cleaner generally cleaned the pipe as good as you coul...

Hey Rich and Clarence
A Hodaka guy sold me on the mod of drilling out the breather and attaching a hose to it. I have been doing it for more years than I can remember. Would you consider this mod to be over kill?

I could use a model 92 seat pan. It is a little bit shorter than the model 92 B pan.
