I received this this front fender stay today. It’s in great shape, and only needs minor clean up.
But, when I placed the front fender I have inside it, the holes don’t seem to match up with the holes on the fender which is supposed to use this fender stay. Any ideas on why? It almost seems as if it should take a narrower fender than the one I have for it???
Thanks in advance! Victor

Re: Older style Ace front fender
I did check the front fender stay part number for both the Ace 90 & early Ace 100 and they are the same part number, 908735A, so I don’t understand why this fender stay doesn’t match up to the holes on this front fender. It’s not even close! Victor

Re: Older style Ace front fender
I see from searching on eBay that this stay used the earliest fender, while the one without the upper stay arm is used for the front fender Ace B. Is that why? Victor

Hey Viclioce
The early Ace 90 fenders were Yamagouchi and they did not have the same bolt pattern as Hodaka. That could be your problem. That is why some experts talk about two different fenders for Ace 90's. Search out a Yamagouchi fender if you want to be period correct.

Re: Older style Ace front fender
Hello, on my web site HodakapartsIDAHO i have the parts list for both type of fenders and stays, there was an early and late type and please all note there where also two different type of lower front fenders and stays on the ACE 100 as well, the high type fender is then diff again. It looks like you might also have an early ACE 100 front fender it was wider, please measure both widths the Ace 90 had narrow front fenders Just check. Bruce
