Re: Help me spend $200
Rich, you looked back to your Sep 22 comment at 10:22 am. I was referring to your comment Sep 22 at 4:20 pm. The 93 and 97 will not interchange. Just looks like a typo.

G.E.M. also made reeds with the 2 mounting holes, but I think theirs had GEM molded in the aluminum.

Re: Help me spend $200
Back on Sept 22 I think Rich meant the 93 and the 98 piston will interchange. The 97 is a 125cc.

Re: Super rat/super combat center stand
If it is the stand that came with the Super Combat and is in decent shape it will bring ($90 - $100) on eBay but shipping will be near $20. They are hard to find so they are in demand.

Re: Crankshaft Washer?
Schematics on all models show it the same way, so it is kind of hard to tell, but Clarence has it correct. I have always wondered what good it does as the crank is pulled to the right side of the case when the clutch is tightened. Maybe it is just a safety measure in case the left bearing works a li...

Re: Jetting difficulties
Running it currently in a model 97 Super Combat and a model 95 Combat Wombat and I started them off with MC-1 as soon as they were restored. They are both modified and I have different carbs than stock so I would not be able to answer your question about jet size. I would just start with what you ha...

Re: Jetting difficulties
I tried bean oil years ago and it fouled more plugs than I can count. I went to MC-1 and can't remember the last plug I fouled.
Just my $.02.

Bel Ray MC-1 is a VERY good oil but Hydraulic Jack is right on. 32:1 may stop the smoking.

Re: fronk fork cylinder allen screw removal
Sometimes the impact gun by itself will jar it loose, but there is an article somewhere on disassembling the 250 and the Wombat 03 forks (by Bob Whitman and Ed Chesnut) that shows a homemade tool and I can't find it so I made some pictures of mine. Basically it is made from a 1/2" black pipe ab...

I wondered about that also. For those that are now interested they are called Torque Grooves and you can see a picture and an explanation on Rich's (racerclam) website http://www.richstaylordporting.com/

Re: Model 98 Project Fork Rebuild
JackM, I am not sure but my bet is the one with the lowest snap ring is for a model 95. Even the schematic of the 95 show the snap ring is lower than the 97. According to the Compatibility Chart item #938753A fits the 92B, 92C/96, 94, 94A and 95 and item #978753 fits the 01, 02, 97, 98, and 99 That ...

We are looking at aluminum. So how is the compression getting through the steel liner? And why are you still up after midnight?

So now I am wondering if all of my uploaded pictures look incorrect to you Victor? I also wonder how iOS knows what is upright when you took it with your camera upside down?
