Re: Race modifications?
Victor you are correct they are RFY shocks, and they are fake! when setting up the frame I needed shocks, and at $40 I figured why not. Lol I know I should have known better, but they were the length I needed. When I first got them I pressed the schrader valve and barely a hiss came out. But at leas...

Re: Race modifications?
Thank you Clarence and Ed, I greatly appreciate your comments. Ed I am going for the "biggies" lol, I want to build the bike I wished for as a kid! What every kid riding a Sears mini bike with a 3 1/2 hp Brigs and Straton would want back then! Now that I am older and have tools, I figured ...

Race modifications?
I was wondering what modifications you would do, to a model 94 125 wombat for vintage racing?
My frame is almost ready, and I was wondering what modifications were being done back in the day.
Thanks Gary

My Hodaka
Well i see that things are slow, so I might as well tell my tail. I honestly don't remember when I came across it, just a frozen up motor. Probably 30 years ago cant even remember how it came into my possession. It was different it was a Hodaka. I Thought at the time it would make a cool lamp. Just ...

Gentlemen , Thank you very much for your advice.
dirty_rat thanks for pointing out the 94 prefix on the schematic.
If I cant get a complete clutch, it will be very helpful piecing one together.

Shock mount question
Hello all, I have been setting up a vintage race bike, and like the way this bike looks. while trying to form side number plates I ran into a problem. when i formed the plate around the shocks, it stuck out too far and did not look right. after looking closer at photos of the bike , I noticed the to...

Re: Lengthining the swingarm
all welded up
I added a photo of the finished swingarm, with the bracing for strength.
Swingarm stayed level and square and it wasan't as bad a job as I thought it would be.I added a photo of the finished swingarm, with the bracing for strength.

Lengthining the swingarm
I was looking for methods to lengthen a swingarm, and could not find much information. So I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. I was looking for a way to keep everything square and level, and this is what I came up with. after checking that the swingarm was square and level on each end, I tac...

Re: Newbie with questions ...
Thank you for your comment Matt !
I have another question, about the front end.
It is a 30mm front end and I would like to upgrade it.
I was wondering what front ends fit from other bikes?or a replacement that wont break the bank. lol

Re: Newbie with questions ...
Thank you Bullfrog for the welcome. I am in the process of building a bike for local vintage races. Started with a 125 wombat motor, and picked up a Head, reed valve cylinder and ported piston. I have the reed valve body that came with it, but no reed block. the body has 4 holes to mount to cylinder...
