Re: Parts for sale/Wanted
Kelly, I tried the site but it isn't real user friendly. I have found this site....vintagedirtbikeforums.com.,check them out. Not a lot of recent traffic but it allows for the searching and selling of used parts. Ebay is too expensive to use at 15-20% sellers fees. I have seen a lot of posting here ...

Scott,
You might try posting over on the Hodaka Owners Group. We're not to buy or sale parts on the forum. I'm not trying to be the "parts Nazi police" but rather sharing what I've learned.

Re: chain tightening then loosening
After re-reading my earlier post I must apologize. I wrote with the eloquence of a Nigerian scammer. TT, do you have a truing stand? If the rim itself is noticeably moving up and down, I would bet 33 cents that the hub is bent. It is so common with the 4 bolt hubs that I won't even clean the hub for...

Re: chain tightening then loosening
I'm gonna guess that the four bolt hub that that the early 90,100,and SR used is bent. I have had several over the years that I had to pitch for that reason. By design the hubs were poorly designed. Could possibly be loose wheel bearings as well. The bearing bores elongated (again to do more bad des...

Bill, I'd settle for for 33 cents in small unmarked coins. Actually. I thought that it resembled Jody Weisels' Project Super Combat that is pictured lastly. Fun stuff!

Re: Torque spec for Road Toad countershaft sprocket
Steve,
This is just a guess but I would think 150-170 in/pounds would be plenty. My less than scientific approach is to tighten to "real snug" then lock with the locking washer.

Re: Exhaust clean ?
July 7, 2015 CR2 068.JPG Here's 1 of 3 handfuls of "stuffing" removed from a pipe that the customer swore was clean. Be sure when searching for presumed carb issues that the exhaust is indeed clear. I removed the pipe and couldn't see or hear anything inside. After removing the baffle and...

Nevermind! I just found out how to blow up the pics that are posted here. Go with Brian's post as he is correct. A Model 94 stinger and SA/S would make a fine donor!

Re: Silencer
Dan,
Brian is right or you might have the later model 95 pipe. I can't tell how long the stinger is from the pic. It looks like the bolt hole for securing the spark arrestor/silencer in the pic but I can't say for certain. The early CW had a flame thrower SA/S and the later had a straight stinger.

Just yankin' your chain Rich! 100.00 at most and fairly easy to find. It might even be an up to 79 model year pipe.

Re: combat wombat one off pipe
The more I look at it I'm certain that is a 77 RM 125 pipe. What I don't understand is why you would cut up a nearly unobtanium pipe? probably worth 500.00-700.00 complete.

Rich,
Just a SWAG but that pipe sure resembles the pipe on my 77 RM 125. If so, that alone should add 17 HP.....

Model 97 Clutch Cable Adjuster
Can someone say for certain what the diameter of the cable adjuster on the clutch cover (Model 97) is? I have 8mm in my mind but don't want to drill and tap the cover I'm working on until I know for certain. Thanks!

Re: Tired Combat Wombat
Danny, I know you didn't ask but I was reading about the conditions on race day. Do you suppose you're seeing a cold seizure? I used to race TZ motors that had to be carefully warmed to temp when the ambient temps dropped. Just thinking out loud.
