I just id a porting job for a customer with a combat wombat and utilized my V Force reed manifold which doesnt allow the use of the stock pipe , So he wanted o us a HT pipe and there doesnt seem to be any for sale. So I suggested I use a pipe from I dont know what , that I had for many years . It too quite a bit of madification as the head pipe came out the wrong side . Had to remake it and also remake the stinger and mounting points , I also used the same FMF muffler that comes with the HT3 pipe . I fabricatred it on my combat wombat since the customers bike is in CA. and Im in UT . That made a cool test bed for it to see how it worked . Finished it last night . So with fingers crossed I rode my bike with it and WOW! It worked great I would have thought i installed a HT pipe the performance increases from off idle all the way through . Problem is I wouldnt know how to duplicate it not knowing what the pipe was from.

Try to measure the component parts so they can be compared to formulae used in designing pipes. With lead pipe, diffuser, baffle, and stinger dimensions you might be able to replicate the pipe without having to stamp steel. In other words, replicate it through math rather than by general look. You might find this pipe follows the math of the HT3.

Just a SWAG but that pipe sure resembles the pipe on my 77 RM 125. If so, that alone should add 17 HP.....

The more I look at it I'm certain that is a 77 RM 125 pipe. What I don't understand is why you would cut up a nearly unobtanium pipe? probably worth 500.00-700.00 complete.

Rich ported my cylinder, fabricated a reed block for Vforce3 reeds and modified the head. Also modified a 34mm Mikuni round slide for me. The stock Combat Wombat pipe won't fit anymore so he made up this pipe for me. Model RG1. Finally got everything assembled today and after a good warmup I took it up the street. It rips! I didn't hit it too hard but it easily lofted the front wheel in first and second gear.

That bike looks great. The pipe looks like it was a factory installed pipe. Quick question, what type of shock are those?

The shocks are just some cheap Chinese shocks I bought on E-Bay for $50.00. The stock 14" shocks seemed a bit short so I stuck these on because they are adjustable for length. Right now they are set at 14.5" and the bike seems to sit a lot better. I will end up buying something else to install permanently. I also used these last year when I was building my Bultaco Pursang MK11 to figure out the right shock length when I upgraded the suspension. On the Pursang I ended up with a pair of custom built RaceTech shocks.

I forgot to mention that Rich Gagnon did all the motor work for this bike too. Reed block for VForce3 reeds, 38mm modified Mikuni carburetor, cylinder porting and head modification. It absolutely rips! Very smooth up to the mid range hit and then you need to be pointing the bike in the direction you want to go.
