How wide were the forks on the first hodaka ACE 90 before the MK11, the hodaka 90 MK11 and the ace 100 center to center. ---------- Clarence

Center to center on the fork tube for the first ace 90 was 5&7/8 the same for the MK11 hodaka and the ace 100. As I think the 92A, 92B and the 92B+ are 6&1/2 inches center to center and the same for the super combat. The handle bar holder 908727 was 2&1/8 between bolts. The MK11 measured 2&11/16 and became part number 908727A. The first ace 90 before the MK11 had a square opening under the handle bar and looks beefier, The handle bar holder on the before MK11 has Hodaka engraved in, not raised. -------------- Clarence

Tell the wife, she tells me my memory is getting better, because every time I tell a story, I add more and it gets bigger. I know the changes but I measured the differences, looked up the part numbers and used the correct name.-----Clarence

What is the differences in clutches between a 100B model 92B+ and a super rat, MX model 93A or a 93B, and the 125 cc wombat. ------------ Clarence

Hello all, new member but avid rider. I have some fun parts (steen frame/forks with motor and nice ace 100 all original with plate and original pink)that I am clearing out and want to make sure someone who needs them can use them. Is there a site where I could show them with pictures on the forum?

There is a very active Facebook group of Hodaka collectors. Bikes sell there very quickly. Follow the rules for posting and you will get a good price.

Clarence,

The difference between the Ace 100B clutch and the Super Rat clutch was the clutch hub. Ace 100B part # 924012A and Super Rat part # 934018 (the Super Rat's hub used high tensile steel for extra strength).
The Wombat also used a different clutch hub, part # 944012. This was to accommodate the slightly larger diameter crank shaft. The rotor gear; clutch nut and lock washer; pinion gear; pinion bushing and thrust washer were also different.

How many 175cc hodakas were made? Did they ride well? Clarence

My best understanding is the number of 175’s made was 603. 600 were sold in the US & the other 3 went to Spain. :ugeek: Victor

I only have about twelve miles in the saddle of the Hodaka 175 (lifetime total), so I can't provide an authoritative rider report. However, I can report that my first impressions included . . . nice feel to suspension, . . . wayeeeee more nimble handling than any of the other "Big bore" Hodies . . . . seemed like decent power (quantity and power band).

I went to school with Tge Orger and man did he have good looking sisters. I never rode a 175 but I sold one at hodaka days for about $650 a few years ago. Clarence
