Sorry for the reader numbers listed here, they are probably off by 160,000, it was meant for hodaka friends, but it was read by the trivia players. ------ Clarence

Center to center on the fork tube for the first ace 90 was 5&7/8 the same for the MK11 hodaka and the ace 100. As I think the 92A, 92B and the 92B+ are 6&1/2 inches center to center and the same for the super combat. The handle bar holder 908727 was 2&1/8 between bolts. The MK11 measured 2&11/16 and became part number 908727A. The first ace 90 before the MK11 had a square opening under the handle bar and looks beefier, The handle bar holder on the before MK11 has Hodaka engraved in, not raised. -------------- Clarence

Tell the wife, she tells me my memory is getting better, because every time I tell a story, I add more and it gets bigger. I know the changes but I measured the differences, looked up the part numbers and used the correct name.-----Clarence

Hello all, new member but avid rider. I have some fun parts (steen frame/forks with motor and nice ace 100 all original with plate and original pink)that I am clearing out and want to make sure someone who needs them can use them. Is there a site where I could show them with pictures on the forum?

There is a very active Facebook group of Hodaka collectors. Bikes sell there very quickly. Follow the rules for posting and you will get a good price.

Clarence,

The difference between the Ace 100B clutch and the Super Rat clutch was the clutch hub. Ace 100B part # 924012A and Super Rat part # 934018 (the Super Rat's hub used high tensile steel for extra strength).
The Wombat also used a different clutch hub, part # 944012. This was to accommodate the slightly larger diameter crank shaft. The rotor gear; clutch nut and lock washer; pinion gear; pinion bushing and thrust washer were also different.

My best understanding is the number of 175’s made was 603. 600 were sold in the US & the other 3 went to Spain. :ugeek: Victor

I only have about twelve miles in the saddle of the Hodaka 175 (lifetime total), so I can't provide an authoritative rider report. However, I can report that my first impressions included . . . nice feel to suspension, . . . wayeeeee more nimble handling than any of the other "Big bore" Hodies . . . . seemed like decent power (quantity and power band).

I went to school with Tge Orger and man did he have good looking sisters. I never rode a 175 but I sold one at hodaka days for about $650 a few years ago. Clarence
