Head gasket leak

So, I noticed some black oily on the top fin of cylinder of Combat. looks like head gasket may be leaking. That's just a guess on my part. Can I just retorque head? Pull head and install new head gasket without disturbing base gasket? Replace both gaskets?

New gasket and retorque ,make sure both gasket surfaces are clean , also check to make sure head isn’t warped.

You can anneal the head gasket and see if it seals. Heat the metal gasket up with a propane torch so it expands where it seals. Then let cool & reassemble. You may want to replace it anyway, but at least you can still ride while you wait for a new one to come! Victor
