Priming Oil Pump Lines

OK Hodaka folk. What is the trick to priming the oil pump lines on an 03 Wombat?

I have all the lines connected, throttle cable for the pump is connected and actuating, and I have oil in the tank. However, I can not get oil to flow from the tank to the oil pump. Even the oil line from the tank to the pump is empty, though there is oil in the oil tank.

This is my first oil pump primer, so any thoughts on how to get this done will be appreciated, especially by tomorrow! Thanks! :ugeek: Victor

victor i followed the manual when i did my 03. the one thing i did was after putting the oil lines on i took them off on one end and used a syringe to fill them up with oil then put them back on.

One of the reasons there is a recommendation to fill the tank with pre-mix, is to assure lubrication by way of premix while bubbles work their way through the oil pump during some easy riding.
