One dust wiper is badly cracked, and the other is not far behind. Seals and o-rings are probably in similar shape. Interestingly, the forks work perfectly and have as good damping as my recently rebuild (by Hodaka Dave) RT forks. I have never worked on painted tank model forks other than some relatively fruitless oil mixing experiments looking for a dual-purpose wonder brew. I'm flirting with the notion of changing the wipers and oil and running them as is (if the oil is funky, rebuild). Any tips/caveats to know about before I whip out the Dremel and dig in.
