Recognize this spacer?

Post by viclioce »

Found this lying around. Don't know for sure if it's a Hodaka spacer or not. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! :D Victor

Afganistanian Fitzall posterior freeplay converter I think. Do you own one?

I see it has black uniform marks over bright yellow I would guess it is a Stanley life guard measuring tape. It is laying on shag rug and you placed a item before it to give perspective. You could use it on a Hodaka to measure wheel diameter, wheel base, seat height ect. Just a guess. ----------Clarence

Victor, you should have known better than to ask Max and Clarence at the same time. Be patient and we'll get this figured out.

So far, I'm inclined to believe Ed, but Clarence is at least entertaining? LOL!

Since it was on the rear of the lift, where I recently spent time installing/removing/installing the rear wheel, it's a good guess that it's the sprocket side spacer. I'll check the parts listing again & see what that leads to and post. :D Victor

Yes. The spacer fit! It looks like Ed was correct. It fit right into the space opening at the rear sprocket & the axle went right through it too! I polished it up a bit with my drill powered brass wire brush which helped knock down some of the pitting! Fits well! At first I thought it was going to be too thick until it went into the sprocket space. Another question/problem resolved! Victor
