I've been following the Road Toad discussion re: the relief of the exhaust port bridge. I didn't want to confuse that thread with my question, so I thought I'd open a separate thread with the same question about the 175 SL. I've got a new piston and bore for mine, and will be installing it soon. I assume I should do the same? Same specs?
Thanks.

I would suspect this is going to be necessary for yours as well, if it has an exhaust bridge. Danny was very specific about it being both necessary and eliminated when a new bore job is done. If you know the machinist who did the bore work, ask if he remembered to do this. If he didn't he may offer to correct it for no additional charge. ; D Victor

Bill, if you're in Virginia, you should get a hold of Danny Cooke! He's there too, I believe in the Virginia Beach area. He can help you with the work you need done and is an excellent Hodaka motor builder! ; D Victor
