OK, I thought I was aware of things going on around me, but apparently this one just came to my attention this weekend.
The ISDTRR has been changed from September 19/20 to September 5/6. Labor day weekend. I would have thought there would have been a big announcement. I must have missed it somehow.
I didn't read the latest Vintage Views yet. I guess I have been too busy. If you are like me, and were not aware of this schedule change, now you know.

It just happened Rick. We almost were not able to have an ISDTRR this year.
Steve Barber and his crew were putting the event on and this has been scheduled for two years now. Steve is the mover and shaker in his club but Steve has some extremely serious health issues and cannot possible do this now.No one from Steve's club besides himself are able to do this so another Club nearby has agreed to take this on with short notice. The only issue is that the date has changed to labor day weekend.
Steve is apologizing for not being able to do it even though his health issues are life threatening. He feels very bad but is us that know him who should be the ones to feel badly.
I had planned to be at this years ISDTRR and have a bike for the Captain if he could make it but we do a huge event for our sausage company labor Day weekend that I cannot bail from. Sorry to miss you all at the reunion ride this year. Sometimes life gets in the way..
We are trying to get all the ducks in a row before we make a major announcement about the change.
I wouldn't have known about the change if it hadn't been for one of the members of my trials club telling me he will be riding the AHRMA cross country this year, but not the ISDTRR because he cannot change his vacation schedule. He works for the post office and they have strict policies about once you submit your request, you need to maintain it. Bummer. I wonder how many others will have this problem? I still plan to go, but it looks like it won't be the epic event for Hodaka that I was expecting.
