94 Wombat Test
Re: 94 Wombat Test
Well done and interesting article. I think it was Cycle (this link is to an old Cycle World) that used to practically disassemble test bikes to the last nut and bolt. I like how the writer(s) introduced the story by setting the scene of Athena...and it shows that the GEM theatre was closed at the time of the writing. Does anybody know when and what for the last film shown in the theatre?
A few weeks ago somebody dug up an old Cycle Canada Wombat test and posted the link on the forum. The Wombat impressed Cycle Canada too, as I recall, they practically gushed about it.
Anyhow both the articles are feel-goods for Wombat riders. The magazines must have got test bikes that didn't have the wonky carburetors that came on the first 1,700, or so, production units.
