front forks, who made them ?

Did Hodaka manufacture their forks or did they use Showa, Kayaba etc. Honda and Yamaha used showa and kyb on many of their dirt bikes. Just curious if Hodaka used a third party for the suspension. Looking at some of the models made, Hodaka used a brake stay which attached to the front fork. Just wondering about the possible compatability of forks off another make, like honda etc.

Pretty sure Hodaka did not make forks, but who they sourced them from, I wouldn't know. Lots of Hodakas out there are wearing forks from other bikes. Many options. Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda. Either look for a vintage front end with a 30mm fork tube and use the Hodaka triple trees, or you can blend parts and get as exotic as you want. I don't think there was a single, hot answer to fork swaps. Actually, Hodaka forks are reasonable, and nearly all of them are rebuildable, far as I know, all but the model 93 forks which you would not want to rebuild anyway

The 250 forks work great as long as you dont use the sl250 springs they are made for a 10,000lb bike. The 03 wombat uses the same tubes and Paul has manufactured stem to adapt the forks to the 100 and 125 . I made my own , it can be done and worth the effort. Oh I know also that the 1974 Yamaha 100 mx has the same tubes as the 93 94 97 98 but still not sure who made them I would think it would be KYB since they made the shocks
