As part of the lead up to Hodaka Days 2014, the 50th Anniversary of Hodaka, and kind of a tribute to Harry Taylor I’ve decided to take on a little research project and see where it leads.
As some of you know, in addition to all his success and experience with the dirtbikes, Harry successfully road raced a Hodaka at Daytona, Westwood and perhaps other locations in the mid-late 1960s. What I’m trying to do is knit together the complete story of Harry’s road racing exploits on Hodakas. I’m looking to dredge up whatever information might still exist – pictures, race results, stories, and/or any information on both the creation of the bikes and their ultimate disposition. I’d also love the opportunity to speak with anyone who may have any direct knowledge or were involved in any way with Harry during that period. Additionally, any leads to other folks who might have pertinent information would certainly be appreciated. Thanks to Paul who has already put me on the trail of a few things but I need a LOT more information.
If anyone on the forum has any information or leads at all, please consider contacting me here with a PM or by email at [email protected].
Thanks in advance,
Jack Broomall

Ed Martin of wheels of time bought Harrys road racer and says it burned up in the fire. but we all know that was a big insurance fraud so its probally around some where you just have to turn over enough stones. good luck hope u find it. i bet its still in pa some where not to far from you Jack.
