Cool Old Truing Stand

Post by Pep »

Just wanted to share this photo – some of you may remember these?
An Austin motorcycle shop that’s been in business for 40+ years (yes, they sold Hodakas) closed down last week. I spent part of a day going through the tools and equipment with the original owner (and hearing some great stories). Got some neat stuff, but this Hozan Wheel Truing stand might be my favorite.

Laurie, that's a cool piece. I love stopping in the old shops, not many around anymore.

Looks like a well built truing stand. That's the first time I have ever heard of Hozan tools.

I've got a couple of tire irons made by "Hozan".

Hozan is a bicycle tool company. I worked at a bike shop years ago and they had a old Hozan truing stand just like that one that they never used because they had a new park stand, so I got it from them for my motorcycles.
