Serial number on frame /engine

I have had this wombat /combat wombat? Since 1979 . The frame letter start H15#### and the engine is a J letter. To me it looks like wombat frame according to the manual and the engine looks like it is a combat wombat. Unless there was a engine swap done before 79 or did it come ordered from the factory that way?

Frames beginning with H are Road Toads. Engines beginning with J are Combat Wombats. There have been a lot of Hodaka mutts made over the years, as many of the Hodaka parts are interchangeable. Post a picture and the folks on this forum can tell you what you've got.

I have 3 125 Wombats 2 model 94 and 1 model 94A. All three engines # start with H and the frame #'s start with C. My Ace 90 Engine # starts with P
and my Super Rat Engine # starts with B Hope that helps a little

After scraping some more i realize that the both frames are also #c. But the one that i had since 1970 has a j engine the other is a # H engine . Thought i should straighten that out . Still the one with the j engine is a combat wombat. I must have been swap before i owned it.

I'm with Brian here, RT frame CW motor. Don't stress over it, stuff like this happens all the time. Like Brian say's, mutt bike or also know as a bitsa

Well it seems that we have confused this issue pretty good... since Ed has found that both frames are Cxxxxx, then both frames are 94 Wombats. One Wombat frame has the 94 Wombat engine with an Hxxxxx number. The other Wombat frame has a 95 Combat Wombat engine with a Jxxxxx number.
