At Hodaka Days this year my dad decided a Webco head would look good on our 100cc road racer. After looking on the web I think I need educated a little. What we want is the one with the angled fins. Looking on eBay there is a Webco head for a 100 that looks similar to the stock with fins in a straight line. I also found one for a 125 that is the angled fin style. Did they make an angled type for the 100 motor? I never paid attention when I was a kid on my Super Rat. Thanks!

Re: Webco heads
I have never seen an angle fin head for the early 100 except for the one that came with the webco 125 kit

Re: Webco heads
I sold a NOS angled 100 head on ebay about a year ago, I also have some straight fin 100 heads.
Re: Webco heads
The early Webco heads for the iron barrel 100 Hodaka's looked much like the original heads, except the fins, etc. were thicker and the combustion chamber was different. The later heads (still for the cast iron 100's) were much bigger than a stock head (even the super rat head) and had angled fins. They also had a much different combustion chamber design (almost a cone shaped inner chamber).
Re: Webco heads
So Since we want the angled fins we are looking at a later one. More than anything we are just after the look. How hard are they to find now days?

Re: Webco heads
They are not real rare, as they do show up on ebay from time to time. I see two or three a year show up. Some sellers seem to think they are cast out of gold, judging from some of the asking prices. I have seen them in the $100 range, but I don't know what condition they were in.
