So im awaiting my vermont registration to get a PA title for my 73 Wombat, not that I havent been sneaking it out on the roadways here anyways. I was ancy and called the end of last week as it has been two weeks and heard nothing. They told me they had no record of it. Today I get a letter in the mail from them saying my Wombat has a NADA value of $640, not the $500 I paid for it, and I owe them an additional tax on the $140 difference. Jeez, I cant believe PA (state of taxes) doesnt have a money making scheme for vehicles with no titles, all this revenue they are missing. Anyways Vermont altered my registration form for me to match what its supposedly worth, all I had to do is enclose a check for a few dollars more and hopefully I will have a plate soon. Hope Hope!
Anyways, why im posting this is, if you are getting a VT registration check your NADA value, I called VT prior to mailing it off to them and they didnt tell me to check the NADA value for tax amount. They told me there is a minimum tax of $30, which fits the $500 I paid. I never would of thought a Hodaka has a value listed anywhere, I called my insurance company and they were like "a whaaat?"
