Back in the 60s we used to buy VW Beetles for $50. We would strip them down and shorten them and drive them in the woods. Those chrome exhaust tips got reused as silencers on a lot of small motorcycles. Good memories

Now a Kawasaki found its way into my garage

elsie.jpg

It is a 1969 G4 100cc

Some of yall may be familiar with the G4TR Trail Boss

This is the predecessor of the Trail Boss (no dual range gearbox)

Got it in a trade and she runs

I want a flat track bike in 100cc class so this might be it

My first flat track bike was a Hodaka. It was a real beater that wouldn't shift right, but I learned a lot about the shifting mechanism by tinkering with it. It was stock and clapped out. I threw an expansion chamber pipe on it and had a ball battling for last place with my brother, who was also riding a Hodaka. A local Kawasaki dealer let me ride his G31m. I got a second place in the 125 class and had to go out and find one of my own. That bike would really scream!
My younger brother had a G4TR with the Hi-Lo range. The oil injection tank had a really cool picture of a long horn skull on it.

my boss wanted me to use my hodaka but I would rather use this free bike
I will stick a trials on the front and a street tire on the rear
If I decide I like flat tracking I will get a bike to ride for permanent

My first and second motorcycles were Hondas. So the Poweroll information is sort of interesting. But you do know this is a Hodaka page right? We'd be more interested in information about your Hodaka.

Moo, hmm. Is that a Honda C105T (Trail 55: iron head, pushrod) over on the other bench or the C100 with the leg guards removed?
