Newbie crank bearing question

Hello everyone. I purchased a 72 model 94 Wombat last year at Hodaka Days and I’ve done a leakdown test on the engine and found that the left side crank seal is leaking. Also noticed that there is some slight up and down movement in that crank bearing when I move the end of the crankshaft up and down. Is this normal? Is it a worn bearing? Shaft worn on the crank?

I would say bearing is loose worn ect. Don't replace with the cheapest you can find, there is some junk out there. -- -------- Clarence
