My buddies and I in Chicago have a little informal motor club where we look for interesting vintage bikes to tinker on. In February we came across a 1972 Steen Alsport project, the first Hodaka and certainly first Steen I have ever seen but I can tell you it will not be the last!
We have loved learning about the history of Hodaka and John Steen and the community these bikes have is amazing. Unfortunately we can't make the trip to Hodaka Days where we would truly love to bring the bike. Being in the city we have limited space and a growing number of projects, we want to find a good home for our blue bike.
The bike is a truly amazing running, starts every time on the first kick or two. It wasn't missing much when we got it but Bruce at Hodaka Parts Idaho was a big help in getting our bike running. I'll post a pic and a link to our site where we have the bike listed.
