Bought a Steen Alsport

Post by willaay »

Hey all - new to the forum. My friends and I just picked this Steen Alsport up to add to the ever growing list of project bikes we have. It's nearly entirely complete - the two things we really need are a petcock and air filter.

I'm fairly confident we could find a compatible petcock but does anyone have any tips on where to look for either part? I checked on hodaka-parts.com and the air filter seemed pretty steep so wanted to check for options here. The bike has great compression and it runs when you can get fuel into it so we're excited to get this project riding.

Try Hodaka Parts Idaho for good used parts.

Easily found on Google.

Same name, but add Idaho to your search

The air filter you want is the Ace style can filter, they pop up from time to time.

Also try Terry Larson at www.Hodaka-Parts.com! Terry has some Steen stuff, & if he doesn’t have what you need he can tell you where to find it! And the Steen has a Hodaka Ace 100 E motor in it! :ugeek: Victor

Victor,
Google and Check BMI Kart Parts.
That is where I got the $50.00 Steens Alsport seat (new), and the New Chrome Headlight ($49.00).

Also, I have a Super Rat "Side Mount" Air cleaner with Filter, New "J" connector, and mount.
I think they might have Petcocks too.

I went on Ebay and looked for the one to replace the Leaky one on my 1971 CustomTrials (found it Under "Motor cycle Gas tank Petcocks")
