Liquid cooled Hodaka

Post by mac »

I’ve seen pics of this bike many times when browsing the web. If I recall correctly the builders name is Mike Allen (?). Just curious if anyone has seen the bike in action and if the cooling idea works ? I have thought about using just a small fan to keep air moving over the head at a trials pace thinking it couldn’t hurt. Anyway, pretty nifty bike, build and idea.

I saw that bike, or one just like it at Hodaka Days a couple of years ago.

Yes, that is Mike Allen's trials bike. He and the bike perform very well. Expert level. What part the water cooling plays in that, I have no idea.

Duh ! I just saw the M. Allen on the front of the bike in that last pic. I was too busy looking at the rest of the bike lol. I’m sure as well as the whole bike is crafted that the internals of the engine are set up very well for trials.
