Standard ace 100 rings

Post by Ajf »

Does anyone know where to get or have a set of standard rings for an ace 100 92?

And they just had to make them 2 millimeters thick! If they were 1 or 1.5 millimeters thick it would be no sweat! All the Japanese Motorcycle and Car Companies used NPR Piston Rings AND ART Pistons. I found a crossover for the Wombat Rings but the Model 92 Rings have evaded me so far. Joe.

You can file and fit .010 over rings, just an option. Also a rat piston with ring will fit the Ace 100. ----------------Clarence

I just don`t want to step on Terry`s toes! But seeing as how all he has are +.030 Model 92 rings I will. I had to make sure these rings fit first and they do. Perfectly! I was missing Ring #2 for my +.020 Model 92 Piston. Ordered one. PERFECT FIT! These rings are plain Iron. Here we go. Caber Piston Rings. EBAY seller dandrikop. For Standard Piston Rings you Type in: Piston Ring 50 x 2mm Chainsaw Trimmer Brushcutter. For +.020 Rings you Type in 50,5 x 2mm. He lists the +.020 with a comma for whatever reason. REMEMBER! The NPR +.030 rings Terry has are Superior to anything made! The Top ring is Chrome Faced and Ring #2 is Moly Inlaid. For +.030 Rings get them from Terry. They will out live the Italian Caber Rings that are Plain Iron! BUT due to the shortage of Model 92 Rings, I`m just happy as a Clam to have found them! Joe Ormonde.

Thanks joe. Anyone else interested I found a guy that makes rings or he gets of the self one and may grind thicknesses if that route is easier. They were $12 a piece.

The Ultra Critical thing is that the Piston ring Match the Cut out for the (Ring Pin). I call it the Anti- Rotate Pin. The +.020 Ring I bought from the guy in Greece on EBAY is 100% correct. If it had a Black Oxide coating you would swear it was a NPR. I paid $6.60 + $3.30 Shipping. Each additional Ring you pay 90 Cents more for Shipping. I found Rings for the Wombat made by NPR for $5.00 each BUT as long as Terry at HPI has them, that info I will keep to myself! Joe.
