Looking for a Thunderdog skid plate for my SL250, assuming it will fit. Hard to believe the bike did not come with one as a sydo dual sport. I would never go in the woods without one. So I add one or make one. Yeah I know, why take the Trail Whale in the woods when I already have a couple Thunderdogs. Well that being able to ride on the road legally makes it real easy for a little light trail riding after work etc. Thinking I may put Pauls new Thunderdog tank on it to de-whale it some.
Anyway, would like a skid plate if one becomes available.

Putting an ED250 tank on it slims it down a fair amount plus you can get one in Red if you want to. Make a skid plate out of aluminum, should be more than enough protection with less weight!

Don't want to confuse the thread but Is the gas tank project changing the sl tank to the ed bolt on. I want to do just the opposite. I have a dent free sl tank. Will it bolt onto my thunderdog?

PS: Starting a new thread would allow the topic of 250 tank interchanges to be "searchable".
