Stuck Carb
Pulled a Combat Wombat out of the bushes after many many years of abandonment. Carb is SUPER stuck... any tips, trick in trying to unstick the slide... I've soaked it in various oils and lubes... no luck.
Re: Stuck Carb
There was a post on here not too long ago that addressed this same issue. You might find some more inspiration by hunting it down. However, I've had great luck with Pinesol, 2:1 with water. It takes time but its cheap and effective. It didn't hurt any of the rubber parts I had on it either, the choke was stuck in mine.
Good luck.

Re: Stuck Carb
Had a similar issue due to mouse urine...very caustic stuff, ate away part of the carb body and slide....slide was very corroded and stuck....if it is that stuck once free the slide and the carb body will probably be toasted...it may be best to save your effort and find a replacement
Re: Stuck Carb
Mouse urine. Wow. Pinesol should kill the hanta virus!

Re: Stuck Carb
I've pulled mice nests out of air cleaner housings that totally destroyed the metal "screens" under the foam elements. And also ran down into the carb body with similar results. Not good stuff.

With a bit of shopping you can probably find a brand new one for around a hundred bucks. Something to consider vs time and repair parts. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet, lol.
