Swing arm compatability

Post by squid on a 300 »

Does anyone know if model 95 swing arm would fit on a 93A frame?...I know the 95 swing arm is about 1 inch longer but i cant get to the mounting point on the 95 frame well enough to get an accurate measurement to tell if its the same..The 93A appears to be 150 mm from end to end at the swing arm bolt end...also the the 93A does have the cushioned hub and larger rear axle so that end should fit.

thanks

They are not compatible. The 95 swing arm is about 3/8" wider at the pivot point.

As they are, they are not compatible. But, if you trim about 1/8" of each end of the pivot tube it will fit. To do so, first drive out the steel bushings in the swingarms pivot tube (where the bolt goes through the frame and swingarm) and then cut the tube down to the size of a 93a's swingarm (it is approx. 1/8" off each side). Then put the steel bushings back in and mount it up.
