Tank question

Post by Forrest »

A guy has this tank for sale locally, he said it was from a 125 Hodaka, but it only has 1 petcock and also sports a black gas cap. Any ideas what model it was from?
Thanks,
-Forrest

Looks like a Wombat - wider, bigger capacity than a CW, and they had black caps.
Should be two petcocks, maybe one hole got sealed off

Bought the tank, decent shape, small amount of rust inside, missing one petcock and has an ancient lawnmower type looking petcock in the other side.

Have you guys come up with any alternatives to the original petcock, thread size?

Thanks,

Dale , I know you quoated the thread size but is there a replacement petcock out there you have found with that thread. To fit directly into tank and use as a pet cock. Paul Strickly Hodaka, has some new replaca ones in his inventory program as well.

 Yes, for your Wombat. Any of the Hodaka Chrome tanks.
I have only used Paul's pot metal petcocks as replacements. No seepage!
