Harry Taylor Daytona Road Racer - to debut at Hodaka Days in just 2 months!!
After two years of research and build, my project to create a museum quality replica of Harry Taylor's Daytona winning Ace road racer is coming to fruition. As if you needed another reason to attend, the bike will make its public debut at Hodaka Days - exactly two months from today!!! This tribute to Harry could only have come about with the help of a lot of people in the Hodaka community so I thought I'd give everyone just a quick preview. It isn't done yet, but it will be! Looking forward to once again seeing everyone in Athena and sharing this important piece of Hodaka history.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing this bike. If you have performance stats on the original bike, could you share them? I would be interested in knowing what the original was able to do on the track, top speed, etc. And then, there are the engine specifics, such as piston port versus reed, porting changes, oil used and mix ratio, and so on. Harry had a direct link with some form of higher knowledge. Anything you have would be of interest.

Very nice. Are you doing a Resonator story about it?

And for those of us not making the Pilgrimage to Athena, photos would be nice. Unless it's going to be in Resonator, then we'll wait.

OK, Jack, now the multitudes are clamoring for a full story on the project. How about a tale to run in the next Resonator after HD '16?
The little devil looks so good, and I know you worked really hard on authenticity, so share with all of the group!

Thanks for all the interest!! Pretty busy working around other commitments to get this thing finished for Hodaka Days. However, rest assured, you'll see a full-on Resonator story with lots of pics, build info, and answers to most of the questions that have been posed soon after HD2016.
