As you all know we are all working very very hard to finish this Hodaka Book in time for Hodaka Days this June. It will be the 50th anniversary of Hodaka motorcycles and the book has to be done. We are at the 11:30 hour as everything has to be turned into the publisher now within days.
I am posting this to plead for a little time to respond to calls and emails that have been sent. Most of you understand what is involved with this HUGE project some do not. Ken, Ed and myself are very near the end of the story as it comes be written. Please bear with us all in the coming days or maybe week with questions that might be asked. For me personally this is something that I have to finish out now. There is no other time so if there are questions about technical stuff please use this forum or if a question can wait a few weeks please do so.
I am here to help and when this book comes out will answer a ton of your questions but we have to finish it first.
This post comes after many emails and calls this weekend that I cannot get back to right away sorry.
The book will be worth the trouble and worth the wait.
thanks
Paul

Re: Hodaka Book
Thanks for doing it, can't wait to get one.
Re: Hodaka Book
Thanks Kelly !!
As I mentioned to Ken and Ed this is a lot harder than I had thought it would be but I personally have learned a ton just in the past six weeks. I think even the Captain was surprised by a few things we unearthed. Almost there.
I want give separation between the Hodaka/PABATCO book that Patti, Jeff and Amy did in 2006 and the book that is forthcoming from Ken.
The Hodaka/PABATCO book that was done for our Mid-Ohio Hodaka Days event is mainly a collection of rare photos and some cool information. It is a great book for what we wanted and needed in 2006. I am very proud of what the three of them put out!
This new book that Ken Smith is writing is the Hodaka Story. This book takes you deep into the inner workings of the PABATCO company and also the Hodaka Industrial company in Nagoya Japan. Never before seen photos from inside the factory and shots behind the scenes at PABATCO.
Production numbers, modifications well you get the idea. This new book that is coming truly will tell the story. I just want everyone to understand the difference's between Patti's book from 2006 and Ken's book 2014 as I have received a lot of orders this weekend for Patti's book.
I only am making sure folks understand the difference's in these two books when ordering.Patti's is available now and Ken's will not be available until Friday June 27th in Athena Oregon. Ken will be there to sign books as well as many of the original PABATCO folks we can gather.
Thank you
Rubber side is down now!
