2015 ISDT Leroy Winters Reunion Ride 9/5-9/6/2015

The 2015 ISDT Reunion ride will be hosted by the Athens Motorcycle Club and will be held near the intersection of St Rt 690 & St Rt 550 near Amesville, Ohio.

This is an AHRMA sanctioned event to honor ISDT Veterans and to provide vintage racing in an ISDT format.

Host hotel for the 2015 ISDT RR will be the Holiday Inn Express & Suites (740-592-4640). Mention the Leroy Winters Reunion Ride for special pricing. Located at 555 E. State in Athens, it's a 15 minute ride to the event site.

The Baymont Inn & Suites (740-594-3000) is also nearby. 20 Home Street in Athens and also 15 minutes from the site.

For a more rustic experience check out 1st Choice Cabin Rentals (610-858-1756). Located at the southern edge of the Hocking Hills region, these furnished cabins are great for larger groups. About 30 minutes from the event site. For details and photos, check out their website.

Admission is FREE for the weekend and there are plenty of level camping spots. Camping is $10 per night.

I plan to attend. I have my entry form about filled out. Not sure which class I rode last time. 60+ something novice as I remember.
I will be on my WomAce 125 again. Roger Duttry is going to try to make it as well. We can ride down together as I will be driving past his place on the way.

News from the 2015 ISDTRR-

The Russell Family has agreed to let us use part of the John Penton GNCC course as a special test. Thanks to The Russell Family.

The banquet will be held at Athens High School, 1 High School Road, The Plains, OH 45780. (10 minutes from race site, 5 minutes from host hotel)

Side cars are welcome.

I received some information regarding the "On Line" sign up for the Reunion Ride.

Per Dave Lambert: The ISDTRR is a 2 Day event-but only pays 1 Day points so we only do 1 Day entry fee for the event.

As of now you can save a little money by pre-entering. Pre entering also helps the club with the planning of the banquet which is a tough task!

I'm sure some information will be sent soon regarding the banquet. If you know you are going to attend the banquet please reach out and tell "KB"

Becky Hayes can be reached at [email protected] for anyone wanting to ride together. She has assured me she will help in anyway to accommodate your requests.

Please don't wait until the last minute to make a decision. It's once a year we get to meet and visit with these true motorcycle racing hero's. I also received news that "TC" will not be there. His daughter is getting married that weekend which is a day no father would miss.

I will start a post asking about banquet attendees and maybe that will help with the count needed for the catering service.

Guys as for the banquet it is NOT a part of the AHRMA portion of the ISDTRR. We were just informed that this was the case and arrangements for the banquet and for people to be able to order tickets and to attend are being made. Again this is for the banquet only not the ride itself.

As soon as I have firm information which I expect any day now I will post here, On the Preston Petty Products Facebook page, Strictly Hodaka Facebook page and in a huge bulk email that we will send out within days.

I have decided not to attend the ISDTRR this year for personal reasons. I will instead concentrate on the ANF trail ride on Sept 19th.

At the Athens Motorcycle Club meeting last night, the misunderstanding regarding entry fees was discussed at length.

It was decided this event is about memories, not money.

The event will be held as scheduled and AMC will honor the existing AHRMA registration fee. $40 for the weekend (online) $45 for the weekend (@ track) This is a great deal for the riders and admission will remain Free.

So see you at The Ride and if you are so inclined, toss a buck or two in the AMC donation jar.

There seems to be some concern from the riders about the tech inspection for lights & tags.

We will tech for lights and tags. We will assume the lights work and the tag is legit.

I hope this clears up any confusion.
