Re: Reed Valve Petal Q

Ok, cool! Thanks Rich, makes sense ... So, how are they sold? Does your intended riding (MX'r, street, trails) make a difference in reed selection?

Reed Valve Petal Q

Hi Hodaka Nation ... I have a question about reed petals. I'm doing some work on my 95CW with a GEM reed valve. One of the petals is frayed at the end and it would appear it may not be totally closing. I assume these should be replaced. Can someone educate me on what I should consider when replacing...

Re: Bash plate fitting

Hi Bill!

I wanted to add a skid/bash plate to my 95CW. I bought one for an RT off ebay and then built a couple of brackets from some angle irons I picked up from the hardware store. I didnt want to impact the original integrity of the frame and have the ability to remove it if necessary.

Re: 95CW – Air Cleaner Joint

Hi! Thanks for the input and pictures. I have the Heat Block still on there. Do I need that? Removing that will help.

95CW – Air Cleaner Joint

I’ve installed a reed cage and new spigot type carburetor on my 95 CW and my air cleaner joint is now too long. I want to retain and utilize the original air cleaner box. Any suggestions? I was thinking about making a cut in the middle of the air cleaner joint so I have two halves with the end piece...

Re: 71Ace100B+ Can these wheels be re-chromed

I would think the chrome guy would know .... but I couldn't tell if he just didn't want to mess with them or if he was concerned about the results with the pitting or what. My Ace is a rider ... I actually have some replacement wheels and spokes on there now. Those cheap ones off eBay from China... ...

71Ace100B+ Can these wheels be re-chromed

The original wheels for my Ace100 are pealing and there is some pitting on the edge of the wheel rim. I took them to a local auto chrome plater and he wouldn't touch them. Can these be re-chromed?

Re: Soldering to the condenser - a better way?

Hi Danny Cooke! I have been watching this thread with great interest as I'm having an issue with my 100B+. Its been running poorly from about 1/8 throttle up. 'four stroking' I think .... I thought it was a tuning issue, but all adjustments have had no impact. I pulled the stator plate and there app...
