I was after a 250ed pan a while back and managed to find one but it needed a bit of work ..
I was told the 250sl and 250 ed pans were different .. was interested to know what the differences were ?

Theres a rupp or fuji 80 carb on ebay that looks very similar and maybe the same as the ds80 on ebay .. search using ebay item number 222346919921.

Easy bikes to work on and plenty of parts around , keep it as a complete bike .

Should be able to hook spring on to the hole

There should be a hole next too where the rubber slips on to the bracket ..

Looks like ally rims on it ..

Think Paul at strictly hodaka had a seat under used parts a little while ago .. also think theres a secondhand 17mm carb on ebay for sale atm similar to the ds 80 .. hard bike to get certain parts for .

Probably a road toad head .. as for jack m pics they were a clear as day for mine ☺

Just use a big flat washer with a hole slightly bigger than shaft .. place over top of shaft then press down compressing spring . My friend gave me the tip a few years ago .

Does it have the black rubber gasket which sits on the inside of the fuel cap ..

Think they were released in 1976 77 ... funny i have frame 1795 ☺

Im chasing a gasket set as well .. i couldnt see a complete set for sale either on the sites .

Looks like a good honest bike to me for $900 . Easy resto and dosent look very weathered cant expect much more than that for a forty year old bike.. Sometimes when you buy a cheaper bike it cost your more money in the long run .. Great buy !

Going too look good when you polish up those fenders and chrome tank ,bolt them on too that shiny red frame !

Nice bike and should be a fun project, as far as i know they made 1800 thunderdogs and from what ive heard there is around 15 known 250s in
Aus. Yours seems like a low frame number as the bike i have heard about had frame numbers in the 1700s .

I seem to remember an article in an Australian trail and track magazine showing the t,dog with a speedo which looked like off an ace
It also had the preston petty headlight set up on it as well ..

Great bike you picked up there ,would be good to here it run or see it on a track somewhere.
