Re: bike jack
Here's my "bike jack." [url=https://flic.kr/p/QzDA1U] https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/730/31885902804_4a694eb885.jpg By tilting bike side to side while adding 2x4s and 1x4s I can pick it up with minimum difficulty. Don't always, but have been known to run a rope from handlebars to overhead r...

Re: photography
I used to take LOTS of pictures (as opposed to making photographs) in my job as a field editor for a rural electric cooperative statewide publication. I'd soup my own film (learning Nikor reels a little tricky), then make contact sheets and glue the negatives in glasine sleeves to the back. We had a...

Re: What Paint?
Rustoleum High Performance Enamel red (silver can) is very close to "proper" color on chainguard (laying in frame) that was already painted with SH paint when I got it. I think I bought it at Auto Zone but it's been awhile. Reasonably run- and splatter-resistant when applying, pretty tough...

So where did you find the "members only" tab? And back Resonators once I do? I'm having a possible clutch issue and would like to do some research before jumping in here with ignorant newby questions...

Re: case repair
If you're not too picky what it looks like, you can repair it yourself like I did with jb-weld and a piece of roof flashing cut to right size...thorough cleaning and wipe-down with acetone seemed to make jb weld stick good. DSC_3687.JPG DSC_3708.JPG DSC_3726.JPG a more artistic j-b welder could no d...

Re: Photo test
Testing with a weird stitched together pan of my new shop, a work in progress. Paneling was salvaged/saved from a project in 1976. I bought new 2x4s for bench legs, some 1x4s for window trim, one sheet of pegboard. Everything else leftover/salvaged/saved including windows, light fixtures, beer signs...
