Re: Model 97/98 Clutch pinion gear
Is this the part you are looking for? They have a little surface rust but no cracks or broken teeth.

Re: Timing the Hodaka
How is the ignition timing on a Super combat with cdi set. The one I bought was not all together, so the stator and rotor are not installed. I have both pieces and need to put them on the bike. I have a TDC indicator that I made from a spark plug base and a dial indicator. Thanks

Re: Super Combat Exhaust
Yes it is a 125. Engine K10495. The right side cover isn't the correct one. I really haven't checked everything to see if it is all correct.
I will probably see about an aftermarket exhaust rather than an original.

Re: Super Combat Exhaust
Here is a picture of the Super combat. I have the seat off to re-cover. I got this bike along with a running Wombat, 2 Super Rat frames and another Wombat frame. I have engines for the Super Rat and Wombat along with a mostly complete Road Toad motor, and more engine cases and miscellaneous parts. T...

Re: Super Rat cylinder
The piston was rusted in the cylinder. I will be taking it to a local machine shop for evaluation.

Re: Super Rat cylinder
Thanks Bullfrog. It does look like the gouge is deep. Can this cylinder be sleeved or should I just look for another?

Re: Super Rat cylinder
It does have a 4 stud intake. There is no case marking on the right half. The pictures attached show the gouge and the cylinder marking.

Super Rat cylinder
One of the project bikes I just got had a seized up motor. The cylinder has a small gouge in the wall. Can this cylinder be sleeved or bored? It has a marking of .060 on the top of the cylinder.
Edit: Looks like this may be an Ace 100 motor. The left engine half number is 92-1001.

Re: missing serial number
Thanks for all the input. I just got into the Hodaka game so I will probably be asking more questions. I got a 73 Wombat that is running, super combat that is partially restored and 3 parts bikes. 2 Super Rats and another Wombat plus lots of parts and pieces. I am hoping to get one of the Rats fixed...

missing serial number
I recently bought a number of parts bikes and boxes of parts. One of the engines has no serial number on the case. The spot where it should be does not look like it has been ground down. It is on a Super rat frame. Anyone ever seen this before?
