I sold my last bike but never removed it from my policy, upon buying the Hodaka I figured I should update my insurance info, I didnt want to cancel the policy since I sold my last bike as I get a lower rate for having a continuous policy. But upon calling the state of Vermont (I have to go thru them to get a registration to get a title in PA), then my insurance company, then the local police (actually stopped at my house to verify the VIN), They all said the same thing "a Ho-whatt?" I remember back when I had my Road Toad in the late eighties Hodaka's were unusual, now even more so, you should of seen the look I got at the local "Cycle Gear" store I got when I was buying gear oil. The internet is a great addition to having a Hodaka, back in the day with no internet parts were scarce believe me.

In PA in order to title a bike you have to do a VIN verification by either state inspection mechanic, notary, or police officer. I chose the police as I wanted them to run my VIN to check for theft or other title info since I have none now. Now I just sent all my stuff off to Vermont, when I get it back I already have the VIN verification to PA title it. I dont know if I will be ready by Sept for my bike to be ridden yet, im planning a full restore once I know it runs well, and all the electricals are working.
