Hodaka Clarke tank

Has anyone else had the problem of the nut inserts in the tank being of mixed types? 
My petcock screws are metric,(6 mm 1.0) but my mounting nut inserts were 1/4"-20. All supplied hardware was metric, 6 mm 1.0.
Outside of that, the tank mounted on my WomAce 125 easily. Looks great. I will post a photo later. Installed new shocks, fly guards and new carburetor.
