Post by nubinizer »

MY DAD HAD THIS BIKE FOR ROUGHLY 35 YEARS ,AND NEVER FINISHED IT ,THEN HE GAVE IT TO ME TO BRING BACK TO LIFE, AS FAR AS WE NO AND WHAT I FOUND OUT, FROM SOME SEARCHING AND SOME GOOD PEOPLE!!! THAT IT IS A 1971 WESSEL CHALLENGER? IT IS A TRIAL'S BIKE(WHAT A BLAST TO RIDE)ONE THING WAS IT IS HARD TO FIND CABLES THAT MATCH THE ORIGANIAL LEVERS,THEY MATCH THE 125 WOMBAT MOTOR BUT TO THE LEVERS THEY ARE DIFFERENT(TO SMALL OF ENDS,TO FIT IN MY CLUTCH LEVER,MINE ARE BIGGER) SO I CHANGED LEVERS,AND TRYING TO FIND BACK BRAKE CABLE (ALOT SEEM TO BE A BRAKE ROD TO THE REAR , MINE IS A CABLE( SO I IMPROVISED AND USED A BYCYCLE CABLE ,IT WORKS) HOPE YOU ENJOY PICS THNX NUBINIZER

The wheels look familiar? I has a rear wheel like that that I think was off a Greeves or a American Eagle? Not sure as that was over 20 years ago.
The old Greeves trials bikes had that type muffler and aluminum tank design.
Nice looking any way.
I just finished a Steen with the Hodaka 100 motor and Earle's front end. Runs good and hope to sell it so I can build a super rat.
