Clutch Fine tuning

I read the Teach tips on Clutch blue printing, What does that do to help the clutch? Just wondering how much it helps and way?

"Blue Printing" the clutch greatly improves the smoothness of clutch engagement. You may have (or may not have) experienced the situation where - as you let the clutch lever out smoothly and slowly . . . nothing happens, and nothing happens, and nothing happens . . . and then suddenly - it all happens. The clutch suddenly engages and either it kills the engine . . . or you are going. A "blue printed" clutch engages smoothly.
