As most of you know we are making a new run of HT2 and HT3 pipes shortly. My company is also going to start on the special high right pipes that Ed and I had worked on and designed a few years ago. So shortly we will have a good selection of pipes to fit the Hodaka's.
I am redesigning the muffler needed for the HT3 pipe. My goal is to build a muffler that will work great and mount easily but will also allow an FMF Spark Arrestor/Muffler to be mated to the pipe and the same brackets used to mount. This way a rider can have a USFA spark arrestor on the bike so they can ride the Bad Rock trailride or ride in State parks or National forrests.
I am looking for someone in or around the Idaho Falls area to allow me to "borrow" their bike for a few weeks so we are sure the mock up of the pipe/muffler is correct. I am specifically needing a Super Combat or Super Rat (98) to be used. The bike would need to be dropped off and picked up at the manufacture in Idaho Falls please. What I can offer would be a free pipe of choice. Either an HT2 or HT3 to whomever might be able to help us to complete this project.
Please contact me at [email protected] and I can provide the rest of the information.
Thank you
Paul

Re: Help needed
The "Buy In" allows us the pre-sell some of the pipes at a reduced price to you. We accept your funds for the pipes which saves approximately $ 50.00 or better from what the retail will be once the pipes arrive. By you "buying in" your funds greatly help us to make this production run. In turn we give you better pricing as a way to say thank you for fronting the money to make this production run.
There have been several emails stating that the customer wants to "buy in" but will be paying for the pipes once they are ready to ship in a few weeks. This is contradictory of how the "buy in" works sorry. So to help clear up any confusion we are extending the HT2 and HT3 "Buy in" special until midnight EST Wednesday. After that time we will be changing the pricing on the website to reflect that the "Buy In" is now over and the prices will be going up.

Also a HUGE thank you to Dale for taking his personal Super Rat with HT3 pipe to Starting Line for me!! Dale drove four hours one way to deliver the bike to SLP so that they could make a new muffler that fits great and has the same OD as the FMF spark arrestor/muffler. Beautiful work they do and the folks at SLP are also Hodaka owners.
Also we are working with Starting Line to offer "Harry Taylor" porting. This can be cylinder porting alone or like we are now doing for one of our valued customer/friend cylinder porting along with matching case ports and having the head worked for improved compression. These porting ideas and drawings and notes are from Harry's own book. So maybe Harry's body might be gone but his ideas and thoughts on how to improve your Hodaka's are still very much alive and well. Harry was a consultant for SLP until he passed in July of last year and they have done some damn great work for myself,Ed and now we are moving to help others. SLP prices are extremely fair and their work is excellent. More to follow.....

Re: Help needed
Shoot Paul! And here I thought that the Harry Taylor porting was going to be our little secret!
I was delighted to break down my SC last week and ship the empty engine off for some hop-up courtesy of the great Harry Taylor's designs.
Hopefully I'll have her together for Hodaka Days...I'm sure there are folks out there that would like to see an HT ported and piped Super Combat throw a little dirt in the MX...

Re: Help needed
I did not mention your name so the cat is out of the bag Laurie
We appreciate the friendship and the support.
I know the feeling was bittersweet after this years ISDTRR. Ed rode the wheels off the bike and won Gold doing so . The porting that SLP did and ED with Harry designed was absolutely GREAT and at the end of the event both Ed and I felt we needed to call Harry to tell him. Laurie we are all very proud of how much you have done to fly the Hodaka flag and your always willing to help. Like the huge responsibility this year you are taking on at Hodaka Days.
Thank you!
