First photo is the pile of parts that were given to me to restore.

Second photo is of completed Wombat as of last spring......finished total restoration in 27 days once all the parts were accumulated.
It is not a 100% resto as I upgraded quite a few fasteners. I wanted the bike as a runner.
It still has the original tires on it.....2200 miles are showing on the odometer. That is the original Wombat decal.
I even found a 1972 BC license plate for it.
Lots of elbow grease and about $600 in parts.....runs and shows just fine!

Cheers

Did that Wombat come out of an apartment storage unit a few years back? I seem to remember a story of a disassembled Wombat that came from an apartment building, in Richmond, I think, and the PO gave it away.

Lucky guy!!

Somehow I remembered that Wombat story from somewhere...meanwhile I've turned the house upside down because I can't remember where I put my wallet. Bah!
