Have an Ace 100B and can't seem to find an extractor with threaded portion small enough in diameter to go through the pin. A recommendation would be much appreciated.

Make one using a 6mmx100mm bolt as in the picture below. Then use a deep well socket that is large enough for the pin to be pulled into it and a large washer on the outside of the socket. As you tighten the nut, the bolt head is small enough to pull through the piston and pull the pin out with it.

It's simple---effective---AND inexpensive. Much better than the hammer and screwdriver method that I have seen some people use.

An alternate method that I like to use is to heat up the piston with a heat gun. Once hot, the pin can be easily pushed out.

I agree Brian. A little heat is sometimes all that it takes. I credit Clarence Tabor for giving me this puller tip a couple of years back.

Another variation on the idea is to use a short piece of white plastic plumbing pipe in the place of the socket.
