HT 1 pipe

Will an HT 1 pipe work on my 03 Wombat? What are the plusses and negatives?
I got to take a quick spin on one of Steve Mitchel's racers several years ago. I know it had a Model 03 cylinder, and I think it had the HT-1 pipe on it. Pulled like a train with out needing to worry about keeping it revving, or fanning the clutch. Had to get a Physical Therapy appointment to get my arms back to their original length.
