175SL Spark Arrester…

2 different Hodaka fellows sent me private messages on Facebook that it was on eBay! So I snatched it up!
It arrived today. As you can see in the first photo, it had one broken tab which was missing. I took it out to the garage & figured out that I had a broken ignition switch with the same gauge & radius metal!!!
I removed the rubber section from the end and it’s chrome clamp. I cut the piece I needed with a grinder & welded it in place with my MiG welder. Then I used my grinder to level it out the weld beads and to remove the old sticker which was no longer legible. Sanded it, painted it Low Gloss Black DupliColor Ceramic Engine Enamel.
Terry tells me he has both Blue & Red decals. Waiting for him to provide me a part number for the decal!
